Dr Darren Kelly  PhD, E.Dip Bus Admin

Dr Kelly, a Professor at the University of Melbourne, is a recognised expert progressing pre-clinical novel interventions into clinical development and in developing and studying experimental models of renal and cardiac fibrosis. Dr Kelly was recently awarded the prestigious TJ Neale award for outstanding research in the field of nephrology by the ANZSN. He has extensive management experience and leads a large research group at the University of Melbourne, and has a specific interest in commercializing biomedical research within Australia. Dr Kelly is a current member of BioMelbourne Network, AusBiotech and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Project Manager
Dr Grant McLachlan PhD

Dr McLachlan has extensive project management experience in the development of biotechnology and pharmaceutical products. Grant successfully project managed the development of a number of pharmaceuticals at various stages of the pharmaceutical cycle, including non-clinical, clinical and registration phases, for a range of clients, from small biotechnology companies to “big pharma”. Grant holds a PhD in Chemistry from Monash University.

Operations Manager
Ms Ann Hamer Dip Mgt

Ann joined Fibrotech Therapeutics in 2008 and as Operations Manager is responsible for managing the operational activities of the Company, whilst contributing to the development and implementation of Company strategies, policies and practices with the governance of the Board of Directors. Ann brings to Fibrotech over 10 years of management experience in the healthcare industry, having worked with dermatologists, surgeons and medical scientists from Australia’s leading institutes, hospitals and universities. Additionally, she holds a position with the University of Melbourne, coordinating commercial and contract research for the Department of Medicine, St Vincent’s Hospital. Ann is a current member of AusBiotech.
