At Ausbiotech, 28th October 2008, Premier John Brumby announced the $3 million investment funded by the Melbourne Reserch Commercial Fund (MRCF), Brandon Capital and Uniseed to bring FT011 to commercial reality and to ensure this Melbourne drug discovery becomes a workdwide success. Brumby emphasised his Governments support through its Vicstart initiative, working closely with Fibrotech’s commercial and strategic developers, Melbourne Ventures, the University of Melbourne’s commercialisation company.
